the tslim doesnt actually require the app to work. tandems new pump though has no physical interface. controlled entirely by an app 🙃

Lyumjev insulin is now approved for the Tslim in the US. My endo appointment is tomorrow, so I wonder if I should ask or hold off for a bit.

Weird how the second dexcom's servers all go down my tslim app won't work properly & neither will the gluroo app.

Later a woman very drunkenly approached to inform me she also had a G6 and when she noticed my tslim she whipped hers out as well and did a little dance.
I love diabetic folks. Whether it's a drunken adult or a 5 year old - the camaraderie in showing our tech is universal.

I got the varisoft infusion set to try like 3 months ago, but was too anxious to try it. Finally did it today knowing I need to refill my tslim supplies & there are trusteel shortages folks are posting about. This way I have an alternative to trusteel if they cant fill it.

[Shocked]. If you haven't seen anywhere 1 is a sound alert which basically means the audio for the tslim fails & then the whole device bricks itself & then the 2nd is during G7 warm up the tslim & Mobi with the newest software [9.1 something?] Causes accidental insulin delivery.

This is one reason why I chose tslim over the omnipod. I want the controls on something I won't misplace.

Options are 1) get a new tslim pump, 2) steal my kid's g6 and give him the g7 (just kidding law enforcement), or 3) get an old iPhone to use to run twiist.

When your site fails on the same day that your Dexcom sensor takes a shit. Can you tell when I figured out it was lying to me? 🥴

Well crap. I got my endo to write a script for Dexcom g7 because I won't see him again before they discontinue g6. Turns out I can't use g7 with my tslim pump because it's out of warranty and needs a softwate update to run g7.

For any diabetics out there on MDI - I switched to a hybrid closed loop pump (Tslim X2 w/ Dexcom G7) in December. HbA1c is now a non-diabetic 37/5.5% (down from 53). Game-changing, life-saving numbers. I recommend giving it a go if possible.
