If the Twilight Zone had a Japanese spin-off with the stipulation that you can do any SciFi conceit you want as long as a Tsubaraya-made giant monster cameos somewhere, you'd have the recipe for Ultra Q and it's as fantastic as it sounds. Watch it free on Tubi.

The difference between Toei and Tsubaraya is that Toei has a hundred bigger brands than Kamen Rider, many of which do much better in the West already than Rider. They don't need to diversify. Tsubaraya is the Ultraman Company and can only ever expand through growing its audience internationally.
