#FairyTaleTuesday When a man gazes longingly at a strong, beautiful icicle hanging from a roof and reflects upon his loneliness, a tsurara onna (icicle woman) may appear. When the winter snows melt and icicles can no longer be seen, tsurara onna disappear. yokai.com/tsuraraonna/

The Tsurara-onna, or "icicle woman". Kind of like the less known cousin of the more popular yuki-onna #art #digitalart #krita #yokai #tsuraraonna
A blue kimono clad women covering their face with an ice clawed hand & holding a frozen umbrella turned lance. Icicles jet out behind them in a many pointed star. "Tsurara-onna" in kanji is super imposed to the side

#31DaysOfHitodama day 3! For today, it’s the meek and shy disaster bisexual, the romantic who literally melts over trashy romance novels, the girl who’s ride-or-die for her friends, Amelie the #TsuraraOnna!

#OCs #ClipStudio #Yokai
Day 3: Amelie the Tsurara-Onna! A girl with long golden blonde hair that goes down to her back - the hair is covered in icicles. She wears a very large-brimmed sunhat with the brim also covered all over in icicles. Her eyes are bright cyan, and she is blushing profusely. She wears a long sleeved white kimono, sleeves also covered in icicles, with no skirt, covered in snowflake and aurora patterns, that has light blue trim, and a darker blue obi around her waist. She wears brown straw sandals. In her hand she holds a romance light novel - it’s an 18+ Yuri, as seen by the side doodle where she’s reading it while blushing and freaking out, her icicles dripping from flustering. Other side doodle is Amelie with her two bestest friends, Francine the Yuki-Onna and Kuromi the Kage-Onna.

Yokai of the Day:

Tsurara onna--Created from the intense loneliness of single men during wintertime, these spirits resemble beautiful women. However, as soon as the icicles melt away so do they. Some become wives only to vanish during spring. Check to see if she takes baths.
