Haunted Gordon

"To be consumed by grief is to allow the restless souls of the grieved to have control over you…"

In which BoCo has an encounter with what he assumes at first to be just Gordon. Sadly, he’s partially mistaken.

Been a hot minute, but here's some more Railway Mimics AU doodles! This time featuring Great Northern and Tornado, as well as my OCs Rico, 553 and D. Luiz.

For more information on this AU, I have discussed at length on my Tumblr Blog (Link in the pinned post).

A privately owned engine that works for a delivery company in China, that appears to be of a "similar build" to the Furness Railway's now extinct K2 Class.

First Artfight reference sheet of the year complete.
1/2 TTTE Engine OC refs I'll be making for the event.

Some OC Faces!

Dorothy & Adeline belong to @rogueheroine.bsky.social
Yoltzin belongs to @peraprons.bsky.social
Abraham, Church, Edmundo & this version of Great Northern are mine.

Truro is here because Rogue doesn't like the face he has in 'Surprise Visitor'.
An illustration of 8 engine faces done for both practicing drawing their distinct features, as well as to experiment with some expressions. 7/8 are original characters. In order from left to right in the top row are: -Yoltzin the Mexican Engine with a look of disgust on her face; -Dorothy the K2 Engine with a shocked look on her face; -Abraham the K2 Engine grinning happily; -Church the Bulk-Handling Crane looking extremely confused about something. In order from left to right in the bottom row are: -City of Truro with an uneasy look on his face; -Adeline the BR Standard Engine with a bored look on her face; -1/2 of Edmundo (in this case Ed) the Alsthom Class 1900 Diesel-Electric with a smile on his face; -Great Northern with an impassive expression.

A series of doodles of my engine OCs (all of which are based on real Portuguese engines) as mimics from my railway mimics AU (which I have discussed at length on my Tumblr Blog)
An illustration of 7 original Thomas the Tank Engine characters depicted as little creatures known as mimics, which mimic specific machines or vehicles of their choosing (such as engines). The first is Cândida, who is based on the remodelado trams of Lisbon. The second are Edmundo (Ed and Mundo) who are based on double-ended class 1900 diesel built licensed by Alsthom. The third is Grandma Geri, who is based on a 2-6-4T tank engine that was abandoned on a siding to rust. The fourth is 553 aka Sad Fellow, who is based on the preserved 533 Pacific. The fifth is D. Luiz, who is based on the preserved Portuguese royal engine of the same name. The sixth is Rico, who is based on tank engine number 0186 which pulls the Douro line's historical train. The seventh and final is Persona, who is based on a tender engine that was restored by Custom Circus and remains as a static display in Nirvana Studios.

Commission for @sfwlemonfizz.bsky.social , of her OC Blaidd as a mimic!

Her level of fluffiness most definitely puts Spencer to shame.
Imagine just how soft that fur must be...
An illustration of a Thomas the Tank Engine original character, depicted as a little creature known as a mimic, which mimics specific machines or vehicles of their choosing (such as engines). In the illustration, Blaidd is in a dog-like begging pose which shows off just how absolutely fluffy she is for a tank engine mimic. Putting even the A4 Pacific mimics to shame.

Commission for notsozenzeneth on Tumblr, of their OC Cirrus as a mimic.

I've gotta say, Cirrus makes for a rather fierce looking critter!
One can only wonder just how metal she looks at full service size...
An illustration of a Thomas the Tank Engine original character based on the 4-8-2 Mountain Class, depicted as a little creature known as a mimic, which mimic specific machines or vehicles of their choosing (such as engines). In the illustration, Cirrus is giving the viewer one mean look while standing in a way that shows she means business.

A 3D Sculpt of my TTTE OC, Edmundo, as a mimic from my Railway Mimics AU (which I have discussed at length on my Tumblr Blog).

Like with Abe's sculpt, I am very proud of how these two came out, even if they caused me a tiny bit of grief.

Commission for the delightful gronkgal on Tumblr, of mimic versions of Class 40 (aka Bowler) and his daughter Wish (who is her OC).

She really wanted to see these two as mimics, and it was honestly quite the fun task to figure out their very breadbox-esk shape.
An illustration of Bowler the Class 40 Diesel from Thomas the Tank Engine, and an original character based on a Class 37 Diesel named Wish. They are both depicted as little creatures known as mimics, which mimic specific machines or vehicles of their choosing (such as engines). In the illustration, Bowler (the much larger green diesel mimic) is splooting on the ground while watching his young daughter Wish (the much smaller blue diesel mimic) initiating a play bow stance while playfully honking at him. They both seem happy.

I am very proud of how this particular sculpt came out, and even more so of how nice the textures look.

A very silly doodle of Edmundo and Cândida in my Railway Mimics AU. Ed's affection for his little tram girlfriend are much easier for him to pursue in a world where he's not confined to rails. Much to Mundo's embarrassment and displeasure...
An illustration of two original Thomas the Tank Engine character named Edmundo (who are based on an Alsthom Class 1900 Diesel-Electric belonging to Comboios de Portugal) and Cândida (who is based on one of Lisbon's iconic Remodelado Trams). In the drawing they are both depicted as little creatures, with a very interested Ed chasing after a strutting Cândida while Mundo is unceremoniously dragged along much to his displeasure...

Just another doodle of Abe in my Railway Mimics AU.
This time the old boy is loafing.
An illustration of an original Thomas the Tank Engine character named Abraham, that is based on an Furness Railway K2 Class. He is depicted as a little creature that is loafing with a somewhat vacant look on his face.

Three of @rogueheroine.bsky.social 's TTTE OCs as they would appear in my Railway Mimics AU.

In order we have Adeline the BR Standard Class, Toto the Passenger Brake Coach and Dorothy the Furness Railway K2 Class.
An illustration of an original Thomas the Tank Engine character named Adeline, who is based on a BR Standard Class. In the drawing Adeline is depicted as a little creature. She is posturing defensively against an offscreen threat, while a canary sits atop her dome completely unbothered. An illustration of two original Thomas the Tank Engine characters named Dorothy and Toto, who are based on a Furness Railway K2 Class and Break Coach respectively. In the drawing Dorothy and Toto are depicted as a little creatures. While Dorothy is sitting comfortably besides her travel companion, even doing a little "blep", Toto is laying on his stomach looking completely disgruntled.

Just some of my engine OCs as they would appear in my Railway Mimics AU.

There's Edmundo the Alsthom CP Class 1900 Diesel-Electric, Junebug the Aspinall Class 27, as well as Cavan and Abraham the Furness Railway K2 Classes
An illustration of an original Thomas the Tank Engine character named Edmundo, who are based on an Alsthom Class 1900 Diesel-Electric belonging to Comboios of Portugal. In the drawing Edmundo are depicted as a two-headed/conjoined twin creature, with one end being the friendlier side (Ed) and the other being the grouchier side (Mundo). Ed is enthralled by a little frog that is sitting on him, while Mundo appears to be unhappy with being dragged about by his happy-go-lucky brother. An illustration of an original Thomas the Tank Engine character named Junebug, that is based on an Aspinell Class 27 belonging to the LMS. In the drawing Junebug is depicted as a little creature that's laying on her belly with her back to the viewer. She is looking back, clearly displeased, and is doing a rude gesture. An illustration of an original Thomas the Tank Engine character named Cavan, that is based on an Furness Railway K2 Class that is technically not supposed to exist anymore. Cavan is depicted in the drawing as a little creature who has clearly gone through some rough times, as he is covered in scars, missing and eye and buffer, and needs a wheelchair to move around. He is also accompanied by three seagulls whom he seems to have befriended. An illustration of an original Thomas the Tank Engine character named Abraham, that is based on an Furness Railway K2 Class that is technically not supposed to exist anymore. Abraham is depicted in the drawing as a little creature who is standing on two legs rather than all 14 of his paws. In one paw he's holding a strawboat hat in a showy salute, while in another he has a comically small cane that was clearly made for him to tote around. He is also wearing a bowtie beneath his buffer-beam that matches his gaudy livery.
