Tyrian 2000 is getting crowded again! OpenTyrian2000 Engaged brings widescreen battles, online co-op and Endless mode to the classic PC shoot 'em up. More routes, bigger fights and one more run before bed. #Tyrian2000 #RetroGaming

I'll do a Tyrian2000 run with mouse control (always thought that was rad for a pc shareware shooter lol) at max difficulty, if memory serves that game is easy as pie. I very clearly remember parts of Tyrian and I played it last... in 2000

Any recommendations for great MS-DOS games?
Im already a big fan of doom and hexen, daggerfall and battlespire

Also how to get tyrian2000 working on Linux?

even got american mcgee's alice working. took some very light-tinkering but nothing painful. Got Tyrian2000 working too. Unfortunately its not OpenTyrian, i had a few problems with it, so im just running the OG Tyrian2000

I was thinking a lot about old retro games I love, lately. One that wouldn't leave my mind is the classic 'Tyrian 2000' (Free on GOG, btw!), so I decided to try my hand at fan art. Think I ended up a little off-model though, whoops.

My goal was to find games that are quick and easy to pick up and play for short sessions, for public events.

But I didn't wanna specify to see what people would come up with.

If anyone has suggestions for that specific use-case, fire away! There's what I have so far:

I will warn that just because a game has a Portmaster listing =/= a working port. I can't get Fallout or Tyrian2000 to load on my R36s

I guess there's a thing to name 20 games that influenced me, in no particular order, one a day. Might as well start now, means I end on Christmas.
