after trying to restart vndev multiple times post-ish-tyvnj2 I think it only becomes more clear that I need to let vn stuff incubate in my head for a little while and to not work on vndev... things have left me pretty out of gas lately and ive been feeling a little lost on what to do next

Bonelust is really cool. One of my favorites that I played during tyvnj2

i enjoy your posts a bunch but fwiw, i relate to all of this. i was more social mid-tyvnj2, but since then i've felt too ashamed of not having finished my vn yet to be as chatty as i was, or to read other vns until i've "earned" it.

it is funny that the ultimate concept and end of my TYVNJ2 entry ended up darker than I had expected. and now the thing i have planned is uh, probably gonna end even darker than that? arguably. it's at least equal

there’s nothing more demoralizing than composing something and loosing it, even if it’s as small as a post in my thread about tyvnj2 games. it’s not like it’s that hard to rewrite! i just loose any and all motivation

my vn reading for judging is nearing the end... i'm steadily approaching my reading goal of 50% of all entries read, tyvnj2 has felt like forever and suddenly i'm facing the end of it, it's been kind of surreal to be coming up on that finishing line

maybe it's just impostor syndrome (by sidney gish) and i feel like i need to match the same level of quality as TYVNJ2 (while also being a full time student) (dumbass) when in reality i just gotta make SOMETHING. and who gives a shit if it's bad that's literally my whole goal in making art

I haven't had the time to read many tyvnj2 entries but this is one of my two favorites currently by far!

And it's not like I'm neglecting my self-care.
I still lift weights + do cardio four times a week, get 7-8 hours of sleep nightly, eat regular and substantial meals, and have been keeping up with my art, language study, TYVNJ2 submission judging, and having fun with friends throughout all of this.

Yeaaaaah... There might be a few other confounding factors (ex the game with more views was after TYVNJ2, when I gained some followers) but the metrics page corroborates the story. This is only the past 30 days, but a lot of people use the adult tag instead of the NSFW filter when looking for games
