My dad flew in to help me with the kids while the wife is out of town. He got caught trying to be cheap, ended up in an UberPool from the airport and took forever to make it to the house.

Do you think people will get into "sharing" mode with respect to vehicles? We're a people after all where sharing a lawnmower around a neighborhood seems to make operational and cost sense but everyone has their own lawnmower in their garage. The failure of LyftLine and UberPool is sobering.

Bellevue, WA—Seattle-adjacent, so it has its fair share of cold and wet—has Gem electric shuttles running around downtown, functioning as a sort of free UberPOOL. They top out at 25 MPH. In-city traffic doesn't, and should not, go much faster. I always love biking behind these.
