News
Email servers at UChicago CS department are down.
webglaze is affected since it uses those servers to email results back to users.

For now, webglaze can glaze images but cannot send them back to you. I recommend putting off webglaze use until we get our email working again (tomorrow hopefully)

[UChicago voice] true
Oooh oooh if I use my alma maters how long can my list be? Princeton and UChicago, you can’t JUST pick one.
With Duke grad Stephen Miller news today I’m wondering who the worst human being to graduate from every school is.

This is cruel to ask UChicago grads. But if we limit it to just my graduating class, Tucker Max.

Shout-out to Paul Wolfowitz, Cornell but really all credit goes to UChicago for his particular flavor of moral turpitude.

Not that UChicago doesn’t also have unfairly employed writing program experts (and has for decades)
November 6, 2026 at 12:35 AM

Can the humanities and social sciences help design AI, not just critique it?

Twenty scholars at UChicago, with @cnrs.fr' AISSAI and UChicago-CNRS IRL HumanitiesPlus, argued yes: friction, plurality, and context aren't obstacles to AI. They're part of the design brief

Niche skeet, but the 1st dude in this video looks a hell of a lot like Marxist theorist & former UChicago prof Moishe Postone (1942-2018)
In deep-red Texas, conservatives are trying to make sense of what just happened to their longtime Republican stronghold. We visited a men’s bible study as they gathered for the first time since the state flipped in the midterm election.

UChicago gave us both John Eastman and Pat Cipollone.

At the conclusion of More Than Words my number one recommendation for dealing with the presence of AI, particularly in educational spaces, is community collaboration. This move by the University of Chicago looks promising: news.uchicago.edu/story/new-hu...
