The sanctions will mean that both men are banned from entering Britain and prohibit any financial institutions based in the UK from dealing with them.

Wise permanently closed all accounts registered with addresses in Russia as of May 2022. Wise, like all financial institutions operating in the UK, is legally obligated to freeze assets and block transactions for any individuals or entities on the UK sanctions list.

This is not a crisis of universities but an utter failure of government. If Labour was serious about turning UKHE around they could (by removing the overseas student levy, to start).

UKHE is in absolute freefall and is in completely danger of becoming unrecoverable.
