Y’all, I got upsold (very willingly, very easily) at UKGE when I saw these tiles in person.
This is my sanding jig, so I can sand these letter tiles nice and smooth (by hand - I wouldn't trust myself with a sander for something as small and fiddly)
Sometimes the tiles spell out ridiculous words. Today I only have "lot stab west" in there 🤷♀️

I am once again reminded of UKGE and the Weyland table where if you put together the gunpla at the place, you could take it away with you. Some 40K bro's came along, and put together a model and over the course of about 10 minutes went 'it's pushfit?!' and 'you don't have to paint it but you can?!'

Well, this chunky beast (all almost 2kg of it) arrived today. I like the 50mm GunPla miniatures (I had some from UKGE last year) though I’m not yet sold on the game itself (and while the starter was just over £30, the expansions are closer to £40 - for three models and their cards)

Exactly! I've taught this copy to a bunch of people since getting it at UKGE. The teach is super easy and the game clicks really fast as players start placing blocks. Lovely tactile production too. Hope you enjoy your Playte copy.

We're at MCM London right now and I'm pretty sure in the future we'll go to UKGE instead. TTRPGs are barely there - there's a zone with TTRPG sessions which filled out very quickly, a bunch of people selling dice and other accessories (a lot of it dropshipped or 3D-printed).

Nah, they're from the British TTRPG scene. I'm sure they're very easy to identify IRL. Find the booth at UKGE where the vendor is forfeiting their $500-1k space before their work is converted to AI by the worthless falsehood of that person's presence

At the heart of it, games companies don't actually need UKGE, but UKGE needs game companies. The kind of toxic, dismissive contempt that they continually show all to clearly will eventually be their downfall.
