From now on, anytime I see someone complaining about a game being unbalanced and having a single dominant strategy, I'll show gameplay footage of #ultima4 and explaint that, yes, almost every combat encounter looks like this due to how OP ranged weapons are in this game.

You can't say thanks to NPCs in Ultima 4 via the parser bar (only reply to it is a "can't help you with that" style message. You have to use "end" to end convos in that game).

You can do it in the games using 6's engine though (from what I was informed)

This is the map that was generated for stream last night. We didn't get to explore much of it because I also gave all the monsters quad damage. So I died. A lot. Right at the end we got a bow which should help survivability a smidge.

my first computer. i got it in 1986, I was in the 4th grade. it was a hand me down from my uncle who had purchased a new mac. I played a lot of Ultima4 and learned BASIC on it.
