I’m making a much bigger post of this on tumblr once i have all of the horsegirls i’ve designed finished…but here is the first of MANY horsegirls who ran in the 2005 KY Derby:
Afleet Alex and her stamina recovery skill, “Sweet and Tart, 5¢ A Glass!”

while i’m at it, here’s yet another #UmaOCs based on the 2002 racer, Flower Alley! I sketched this girlie a while ago and just now went back and polished the colors up.
The theme here was “ethereal fairy princess” because the irl horse’s dam was named “Princess Olivia.”

[Umamusume OCs] Giacomo’s mother, the prolific racer, Holy Bull— infamous for being aggressive and physical on the track, but acting like a total movie star off the track and literally stopping to pose whenever a camera came out. #umaOCs #puddiart (textless ver in replies)
![“Oh goodness! The paparazzi!? Here?? I’m soooo unprepared! 💖💖 Ah, but I could never turn away such devoted apostles! [sotto voce] (a little more down and to the left, that’s my angle…)”](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:fnfkm6uy2kavhfy3ok723p2u/bafkreiecnb2jcfmrl6e3lhwkijw6rbwho5fz3q56g2axctexc4gq4cl23u)

[Uma OC ] the youngest and newest member of Team Z, High Fly!
After a challenge late race, her skill, “Nonstop-Supersonic First Class“ has her moderately increase her acceleration in the last 747 m or later.
Irl, she won the ‘05 Florida derby.

(Uma OC stuff)
i still need to draw them in their little trading card poses but Sun King and Birdstone are the reason I started making horse girl OCs. What if we had stalls across from each other during our career, then became besties in retirement.

someone more savvy might save drawing/posting the winner for last, but that’s not me.
Behold, Giacomo, the 50:1 odds miracle winner of the 2005 Kentucky Derby, with her special late surger/end closer skill, “E Lucerano Tornano le Stelle!”
