hi Jeramy, does the Cherokee language have its own specific alphabet, or does it use a modified IPA? I am learning Likʷal̓a a southern Kʷakʷaka̓wakʷ language which uses IPA, northern has its own alphabet UMISTA. Wakashan language family - east coast of Vancouver Island.

and their website entry is incorrect, the mask was loaned to Umista but the loan was cancelled and it is currently on display in the BM.
