Sort of.
Getafix/Panoramix is the only one of the main cast that I'd call actually closer. Most of the rest are taking just as many liberties as the older (better) British translations.
e.g. Unhygienix the fishmonger became Epidemix. But his French name is "Ordralfabétix" (alphabetical order)

ASTERIX (the arcade version). Along with G-LOC, this is the other arcade machine I will *always* play if I ever see it. My absolute favourite of Konami's belt-scrolling brawlers, and an underappreciated title in general. Captures the slapstick absurdity of the comics beautifully.

Dogmatix is originally Idefix, as in "fixed idea" so that's pretty much 1 for 1. I think Unhygienix and his wife Bacteria are both extra gags in the Cacofonix vein. I need to find a pub quiz focusing on literary nerdery!
