I've been using uniball for a long time. It's ballpoint but it's ink, and you need very little pressure on the wrist and thumb joints to write.
But I also totally get the joy of a good fountain pen or a dip pen.

Oh I didn't recognize it. I use a "regular" metal Sharpie gel pen at work, but I replaced the cartridge with a non-gel Uniball one that writes like butter. They're very nice pens to hold, especially for the price.

I really want to experiment with more inks and pens next year in my journal! I also want to draw more.

The Uniball Zento is one of the most ludicrously smooth pens I've ever used, and they're something like $6 for a four-pack. They're not the prettiest thing you'll ever write with, but that won't matter the second you start writing.
