The United States is *genuinely* unusual (not saying unique, just unusual) in this regard - most other big, populous countries are either more locally multi-lingual (e.g. local languages in Russia) or feature a language split into a lot more distinct dialects (e.g. dialects of Chinese).

To be briefly serious for a moment: the Texas AG race will be a serious one to watch, especially if Dems take the governor's mansion. Musk has pretty much put all his chips on Texas, which is why he spent so much of his money on the election races there. And so far, they're not going his way...

It’s pretty amazing that Trump explicitly says AES is getting them politically on this point. It’s pretty unusual for him to admit this stuff.
Trump decided his way to deal with AES was to say that he and Bibi already decided to end $4B (it's actually more like $3.8B) in annual aid to Israel as of this year. Now I don't think that's true, but I just spent the last hour and a half explaining US aid to Israel to reporters. Fun
