✨🎃 Questober Day 1 🎃✨

This is Jesper Inkwell, a half human, half high-elf artist and student of magic at Tellerway Arcane University! He's cut ties with his socialite past to make a life of his own, but his sheltered upbringing did not prepare him for anything spooky 👀🦇

>unique relationship with the dead as his main negative trait that can't be blamed on his upbringing, and other than that he's a fairly decent guy (who might kill you, but just give him space! He's not malicious, he's scared). He'd be fine with some therapy, but he'd need therapy to handle therapy.

The Pentecostal Roots of Dominionism Explained | Pentecostal Secrets | 717
John and Andrew discuss the development of dominionism within Pentecostal circles, tracing its connections to the Latter Rain movement, Joel's Army, Manifested Sons of God theology, British Israelism, and the New Apostolic Reformation. Andrew reflects on his upbringing in the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and explains how biblical promises, militant language, and teachings about spiritual authority were presented in his experience. They examine how proof texts, claims of anointing, signs and wonders, healing teachings, and "full gospel" language can shift attention toward personal power and influential leaders. Their conversation emphasizes reading biblical passages in context, evaluating doctrine carefully, questioning unsafe leadership, and grounding Christian faith in Jesus, love, and the gospel rather than power, control, or extraordinary experiences. Do Japanese people notice how you hold chopsticks? Yes. But the top comment (2,993 likes) under a debate about it goes after something else: "not fixing things and blaming your parents is the worst upbringing of all." One grandpa's fix: moving beans plate to plate.

Chopstick Etiquette in Japan: Do Japanese People Really Notice How You Hold Them?
Yes. Japanese adults notice a crossed or clumsy chopstick grip, but refusing to fix it is judged harder (2,993 likes). Fixers say it took days to weeks.

Don’t know if it’s a whisper from a past life, my ultra-catholic upbringing, or some kind of generational trauma, but I’ve got A Thing about execution, and this is making me feel rather queasy.

The more I think about this the funnier it is. Like what was he thinking? We know Castor is a bit of a wild one from his introduction and Cai's upbringing but the more I know about him the more of an absolute mad lad he becomes.
Also WHAT for the love of god was Castor's plan? Take three literal children to Dagsion KNOWING he'd be incarcerated and executed without another adult chaperone?? He could've at least told Centurio to like house them or escort them home later but he just left them at an inn to go to his death???

i’ll also like to thank anyone who has bothered to write comments and emails about how important my writings are to them.

i don’t really get many people telling me they like it, and i also feel weird about praise due to my upbringing.

but it’s nice people care enough to send some love.

Jolting awake at 0500 with that I can justify Fray's guilt and shame in re: sub things within his Halonic faith/upbringing.

In a culture/doctrine that boils down to might is righteous...

The conversation turns to drug penalties, upbringing, and the societal tendency to ignore problems close to home. Questions arise about how we react to a child's addiction and the disconnect between personal values and acknowledging others' struggles. #socialissues #parenting #addiction

It is *so much in the water*, so much a part of my upbringing, so deeply-ingrained in the fabric of our daily existence, that that was my first instinctive feeling, before the metacognition kicked in a second later and told that thought to fuck off. Isn't that horrible? To live our lives this way?

It took me half a century to even become marginally bisexual. That’s a C’tholic upbringing for you.

It may just be a reaction to fascism, but I’m cool with that as a reasonable motivation for my evolution.

There are many paths up the mountain.

I know. I should've been all "yes, I didn't think anyone would catch that" 😂😂 I blame a religious upbringing.
October 1, 2026 at 7:57 AM
I think it's the religious upbringing. The American Christian church teaches them to be subservient and to love without question. By facilitating misogyny they are pleasing god. This is unique to American christianity,i think

Again, how does that lead to British nationalism? (Btw, I see no fascist beliefs or activities in his upbringing or life.)

Would a British nationalist not wish to live in Britain? Would a nationalist who resides in France not support French nationalism? His personal choices are a contradiction.

Wishing that kind of upbringing on a child is terrible and they've already got it bad enough.

We are about halfway through the book.

I love Astarion's upbringing story. For me, so far, this is the best takeaway out of the whole thing.

Buddy I can dance circles around you weak logic where you want to tell this victim's family where she was tortured and killed that it was the fault of society and bad upbringing. You want to say that to their face?

Clay Puppington is such an interesting character to analyze. He is an alcoholic monster and yet I almost feel sorry for him, because of how he can't be his true self and love the man he loves because of his religion upbringing.

I don’t care what anybody says … those are sick fucking dudes … ‘throwing immigrants out of fucking helicopters’ … what the fuck were these guys’ childhoods like anyway?

Some where along their upbringing line, someone totally fucked up or miscalculated on their diagnosis🤯
Ossoff on Mike Collins: "This is a congressman who called for executing immigrants by throwing them out of helicopter. He is a fanatic and Trump puppet."

Same same. Narcissist dad, feral upbringing, early CSA resulting in attachment disorder, abusive relationships and all sorts of fun. Been determinedly single for 17 years and won't change that for any reason. Nothing in it for me but pain and suffering and I've paid my dues, thanks.
