Trump has destroyed the amazing trade we had with Canada.
Canada is now going to export their minerals to Europe instead of us.
Those are minerals we need!

Europe needs to increase trade and manufacturing with Mexico and Central America. Investing south of the US is the way forward, there are plenty of resources and people willing to work. Let's cut out the middle man, there is no need for the US.

John Major, "Our links to Europe and America may be loser now than once they were and that is a loss"

"The loss of trade with Europe alone costs us £100 billion of lost trade every year"

"That's a tax yield of £40 billion"

"How useful would that have been in recent months to the Chancellor?"

Carney going to Europe first, and immediately, is a great call. We know we can't count on the US. We want trade and security diversification.

Great call.

To cite some examples:

- Tighten screws on US digital giants (taxes, fines, even bans)
- Export taxes disrupting US supply chains eg pharma
- Exclude US firms from European procurement, inc defence

Good result for the US to be honest. UK trade is approx 50% EU, 20% max US, but 34% of the population think trade with the US is more important...

Still not going to be a US v EU choice though however much the media keep pushing the angle. inews.co.uk/news/politic...

Canada is turning away from the US, and Mexico may be next. The US still does not grasp that as Europe and China expand trade and influence with its key partners, a timer toward economic irrelevance is set. The consequence will be higher prices at the US dinner table and a food supply kill switch.
