According to Oxford Economics, the U.S. railcar industry generated an annual economic footprint of $36B in output, $14.9B in GDP contribution, and 112,200 jobs across the country. USMCA only strengthens this vital industry. zurl.co/XgO4U
Benefits of USMCA for Freight Rail -
In an era of global supply chain volatility, from pandemics to geopolitical conflicts, having secure North American sources for rail equipment and steel, for example, is invaluable. USMCA adds to this security by locking in duty-free trade and common standards among friendly neighbors, thereby making us collectively less dependent on […]

What tЯ☭mp has taught the world is that agreements last one election cycle or less. NATO, NAFTA, even the tЯ☭mp-negotiated USMCA. The United States will not regain trust on the international stage in my lifetime.

Here's a better idea: pledge to block Commerce Department appropriations until Trump lifts the tariffs and restores the spirit of the USMCA, which he himself signed.
I will continue to do all I can to mitigate the impacts on Californians and our businesses until we can put an end to these tariffs.

You can't be friends with USA when we make deals and then break them. The orange stain starts a war because the deal he broke had covered what he is fighting the war (supposedly not the oil but nukes, hahaha)..also he renegotiated NaFTA to USMCA and broke that too, USA cannot be trusted

Better allies are available than this current US administration. Get too involved with them and you set yourself up for a shakedown, signed contracts or not. Examples such as the USMCA trade agreement or the Gordy Howe bridge have certainly taught Canadians this fact.

I'm betting that few people are reminding Grumpy that he let the "proportionality clause" get away from him when he pushed USMCA to replace NAFTA.

True, the "proportionality clause" was only energy but the principle is the same,
greater access to markets is good for the supplier.

Trump is literally fighting over his own 2020 USMCA trade deal. He bragged about it at least 138 times on social media through October 2024. Suddenly he hates it. Why? Biden never changed it.

He's no master deal maker. He's a conman & idiot. Link: www.thetrumparchive.com?searchbox=%2...

Ja! 💪🏼

Separating from USMCA would make goods more expensive for North American consumers, particularly in the U.S., and jeopardize the financial health of many companies—particularly small and medium-size enterprises which are at the heart of the supply chain.

If #cndpoli "ripped off" the US "for decades" then Trump HIMSELF presided over that exploitation by signing USMCA. Moreover, at the time Trump called USMCA "the most important trade deal we've ever made by far." So, was he succumbing to our Jedi mind tricks? Or is he hoping MAGA can't remember 2020?
October 14, 2026 at 3:47 PM
Funny how we never see the text of any of these “deals”. Normally they have to be ratified by congress (like USMCA) and signed into law, but has that happened for any of these? Or is it just “trust me bro, it’s awesome”
