A little hair of the dog the morning after in Tailfeather.

[ #gpose | #thancred | #FFXIV | #valtiverse | #hyur ]
Heavensward Era Thancred absently rubbing at his head, his other hand curled over the top of a tin cup that's in the foreground. He looks less in pain and more depressed than anything.

#Thanuary Day 24: Laugh
Minfilia finally tells him a joke that catches him completely off guard.

Minfilia giggling as Thancred loses his shit over whatever joke she told him, his hand on his gut as he laughs. Minfilia has her hands pressed together in delight. A shot that's really more about Minfilia but she looks so cute!! Look at how happy she is that she told a good joke!!

#Thanuary Day 8: Bath
Camp Bronze Lake is a popular stop for those with various maladies. When there is downtime enough Thancred can be found making use of the waters.

[ #gpose | #thancred | #FFXIV | #valtiverse | #hyur ]
Thancred washing up in the mineral rich waters of Camp Bronze Lake. Verse the same as the first but a bit closer to his left. A shot from his right. In this situation he is working on the tightness in his joints and just generally soaking away the decades worth of chronic pain he's developed from working.

#Thanuary Day 20: Bard
The lute was ever one of his favorite instruments, it always afforded him an excellent way to break the ice.

[ #gpose | #thancred | #FFXIV | #valtiverse | #hyur | #ARealmReborn ]
Thancred serenading a maiden who sits in the Ruby Road Exchange. She seems decently charmed by his lyrical stylings, whatever they may be. A shot taken from slightly below of Thancred strumming the lute and singing. Another shot akin to the last save for the shot is taken more to his left side, showing how swooshy his hair is.

#Thanuary Day 19: Trust
In spite of all his years of training and building relationships, his instincts still tell him to put his back to the wall when sleeping.

[ #gpose | #thancred | #FFXIV | #valtiverse | #hyur | #ARealmReborn ]
Thancred tucked into a corner at the Waking Sands, sleeping halfway curled up. Another shot of Thancred dozing, this time from his left side, showing a bit of the Waking Sands main room. One more shot of the man getting some Zzzs, slightly pulled back from the original shot.

Thancred carrying three sacks of a Mysterious Contents (TM) in the Waking Sands supplies area while A'aba, Arenvald, and Aulie take a break on some of the already unloaded goods. The A squad is chatting amongst themselves happily. A closer shot of Thancred carrying the Sacks (TM), the focal length reducing my favorite trio to smudged shapes.

#Thanuary Day 31: Survive - And thrive.
Thancred takes an afternoon stroll with his granddaughter. He is happy living alongside those he loves. He is finally right where he belongs.

[ #gpose | #thancred | #FFXIV | #valtiverse | #hyur | #PostGame ]
Thancred walks in Idlyshire alongside his granddaughter, an Elehyur adopted by Gaia and Ryne on the First. Shard travel has been well established for decades, and his family visits him often. His granddaughter has been talking about proposing to her own sweetheart, and Thancred's heart is aflutter somehow on her behalf with nerves. He can't help but smiling looking at how she absolutely brims with joy. The world is still the world, and it is not a story that has an end, but there is more peace to go around than before, and people still strive for good. His shoulders continue to give him trouble, and straightening his back these days is a chore, but he doesn't pay it much mind. Good posture is for young people.

Alternate large poster version!

The moment I realized recently that Valtia unfortunately knew both of those men more up close and personal rather than just being in the Garlean conscripts made my brain go haywire.

//realizing I just need to make the Valtiverse meaner and have Thancred get isekai’d for 10 years instead of 5. Need him to raise Minfilia from like small kid childhood. Need it so bad.
