Another multi sketch view of a scene. This time Venice. Two different value patterns and then a color version which is still kept muted. #watercolor #watercolorpainting #venicepainting #watercolorlandscape #landscapepainting

Here's another Venice painting based on my first visit nine years ago this week. (Acrylic, 12"x14"x1.5" on wood panel). #venice #venicepainting #gondola #gondolaart #acrylicpainting #travelpainting #italyinart
A gondola loaded with tourists (including a girl with balloons) floats through one of Venice's back canals as a gondolier in the foreground prepares his vessel for passengers.

My late wife and I arrived in Venice (for my first time) this week nine years ago. I remain fascinated by its charms. Here is one of my Grand Canal paintings (acrylic, 11x14"x1.5" wood panel). #acrylicpainting #venice #paintingvenice #venicepainting #grandcanal #venicewedding #gondola #gondolaart
A sleek, black gondola slices from left to right in the picture frame. In the rear of the vessel, the gondolier stands on the rear deck, his oar extending behind out of the picture. A woman and a man, dressed in wedding finery, sit side-by-side, taking in the sights and being seen on Venice's Grand Canal. Behind them, colorful Palazzi rise above a quay which is lined with canopy-covered restaurant tables.
