A lot of my spare time in the past year has been devoted to digitizing tapes w a VHSDecode process and running the TAPE GARBAGE Instagram account where I post the output of that -- local ads and stuff -- but I just wanna draw stuff that nobody wants. www.instagram.com/tapegarbage/

I wouldn't be surprised if he bans me from the vhsdecode Reddit sub for simply suggesting that insulting or laughing at potential users could drive them away.

OK this may be legit. First image is taken over s-video in virtualdub with a Hauppage capture card. Second video is with VHS-Decode. Definitely some vibrancy lost (and I'm sure there are a lot of things I could tweak) but there's a lot more definition in them thar mountains.

i lied, i purchased another vcr, but whoever dropped it at goodwill left their porn in it.

and - good news! - somebody on reddit posted a pic of their vcr that uses the same circuit board (pic #4) as mine and somebody helpfully pointed out which wires are tap points: old.reddit.com/r/vhsdecode/...

The thunderbolt pcie cage. Making a vhsdecode capture device is on my list, but the external pcie over thunderbolt cages I saw were more expensive than just building a whole new PC around the 2 pcie cards I need.

Hope this is all work for a VHSDecode/DomesdayDuplicator rip and not just a cleaner RF output :D Can't wait for those pristine rips.

Alright everyone, in the grand tradition of Blu-ray elitists never being happy with anything ever in the history of ever, I'm impatiently waiting for a new transfer of The Blair Witch Project using vhsdecode captures of the Hi-8 tapes.
