There's just none of what I loved about vidding in edits. I liked learning something new about the characters, making unexpected connections, and a striking use of metaphor. But edits are just loud and tend to hit the nail on the head, repeatedly, rather than try to tell a story or reveal something.

I’m already getting overwhelmed with how many vid ideas with the perfect songs to match them I got all within a WEEK. My vidder brain never stops. I feel like I wouldn’t be able to quit vidding for very long because my brain will always naturally match music to movies/shows no matter what.

I actually edited a whole short film in Final Cut Pro in film school, and I’ve used the whatever Mac program is called to cut and edit together some clips, but the total aphantasia and loathing of anything remotely fiddly or exacting makes vidding waaaay less fun than fandom should be
