nothing makes my blood boil quite like looking up a piece of documentation or something for Vim and the best result being a link to the fucking vim Fandom site. even with breezewiki, Fandom Dot Com is a fucking scourge. why do we put up with this and why does vimwiki redirect to it.

I've abandoned all the contemporary notetaking apps and just use vimwiki syncing with Nextcloud for notes at this point. It produces markdown text files that can be edited with any text editor, so it works great for me. It's also extremely fast.

I've abandoned all the contemporary notetaking apps and just use vimwiki syncing with Nextcloud for notes at this point. It produces markdown text files that can be edited with any text editor, so it works great for me. It's also extremely fast.

I've been using vimwiki for almost a decade now, never failed me. And since its just markdown, it's works with newer stuff like Obsidian with zero configuration.

vim触り始めて100年経つけど基本的な操作とひとつまみのプラグインしか使わないから未だにvimのことなんにもわかってない。

There are wiki programs to make a personal wikipedia of all your own notes on your computer. The only one that comes to my mind right away is vimwiki, but that might not be the best choice for you. But something like that might help, and then you can send it to others as a folder of files maybe?

I don't want to have a cloud service or a database, but I'd like to have a mobile app, which could be a markdown editor through NextCloud.
Well too many choices but none of what is on the market, just scary to get my daily notes somewhere, wherever that is.
