I must be the first person ever to kill vincas! I’ve planted it at least three times and each time it’s disappeared!

(sitting backwards in a chair at the speed dating event) me rogas quod signum sim; debes te ipse rogare, in quo signo vincas
I am constantly asked about my sign in person! It's just popular, full stop. At my most generous, it is a vehicle for people to talk about one another's personality. But nobody seems at all to understand why it might rankle to be asked (and then judged on) the data of my birth certificate.

The vincas endure, the gomphrenas have had a bad year, and I'm adding evolvulus to my list of annuals to look for each spring because they've been doing very well. The sweet potatoes I planted a month or so ago are also doing well and I may be able to contribute home-grown to our Thanksgiving again.

The forecasts have been claiming we're just a week away from cooler temps and a bit of rain for the last several weeks. My flowerbed is lopsided, between volunteer vincas and new plants acquired to replace baked-to-death annuals. No more tidy matched pairs. 🌱

Buenos días con "vincas de Madagascar"!
This has worked out better than I hoped. Coneflowers spilling into zinnias (with salvia mixed in) then into vincas.

I wish I had the equipment ta do this for some a my plants. They may not be anythin special or particularly difficult, but they are mine & gettin ta see em bloom—tho the heat has made that kinda rare—is such a joy. My vincas are holdin the line for me even if nothin else does for a bit.
30,000 hours of footage, equivalent to 3 years and 7 months, were filmed to capture the blooming of 77 types of flowers, and the result is spectacular.

o lençol de dormir amassadinho é gostoso mesmo, mas se a colcha da cama tiver vincas eu fico igual aquela princesa que perdeu o sono porque tinha uma ervilha embaixo dos mil colchões da cama

The viola’s take a little work to deadhead when the buds are past their prime… But the vincas seem to do it just on their own; when the flower fades, it droops and then falls off. I wish Congress was more like the vincas. 😏
