The VintageCGI subreddit is a great place to find 90s, 80s CG stuff, and seeing this this morning made me smile.

Working again, heres the locomotion system ~80% done (I think)

Helium Productions animated the 3D clear glass shield using Side Effects Prisms on a Silicon Graphics workstation. Helium or Picturemill supplied the cloud footage.
It got reanimated in 2001 for the AOL Time Warner version and it was rendered again for Blu-Ray.
