"Viverridae" is "Ferret-like". They solely defined us genets by our noodliness and penchant for biting things.
"Mustelid" = "One who carries off mice"
Scientific naming is great because you'll hear the latin name of an animal and be like wow that sounds so fancy and esoteric and it translates to "Goofy Tooth" or "Potato Ass"

The family viverridae have some of the coolest critters in the animal kingdom! They're feliforms, meaning they're cat-like, but they also have traits & mannerisms of a variety of species. They look much like modern day prehistoric mammalian descendants.

The family viverridae have some of the coolest critters in the animal kingdom! They're feliforms, meaning they're cat-like, but they also have traits & mannerisms of a variety of species. They look much like modern day prehistoric mammalian descendants.
