Integrity Coachlines, who run long distance buses from Perth to Broome via Geraldton and the coast, and from Perth to Port Hedland via Meekatharra and Newman, has a livery that looks a heck of a lot like a 2010s VLine paint job.

It’s really hard where I am, closest supermarket is 75k, same for everything else you might need and no public transport apart from vline which doesn’t work a shopping trip. It’s terrible,

That's not as bad as the bus vline often uses for the Canberra to Albury route. So old it still has a CRT TV up front 😆
It's nicer when they stick the newer bus on that route because all I need is the usb charger. Otherwise I have to be careful to not run batteries flat before the train

This would fit in well without conflicting with current freight schedules, and would largely work with the current VLine timetables, although it might need the second up Ararat train of the day to be pushed back to avoid a very early start. Maybe not an issue for Wimmera locals though.

Have we considered triplicating the track between Dandenong and the city to provide the capacity for emergency shuttle services to take an express lane (otherwise used by vline, if you like) to get to Anzac and back. I'm just curious y'know

update: vertical lines / skinny rectfills cost a sensible amount in 0.3.0e (was missing a fast vline-wise path) ~ doing a second pass for lighting is more flexible than what I was considering and seems shouldn't cost much more on host.

VLine have recently converted one additional 3 car VLocity set from broad to standard gauge to boost capacity on Albury line trains. I understand that it is still in testing and hasn't yet entered passenger service on standard gauge.
