Sometimes we do our duty in supervising our caretaker. It's hard work though, we might need a nap later.
#VolothampGeddarm #Haarlep
The Volo and Haarlep plushies are on the left on a screen, peeking over and around it, as an out of focus display vaguely shows an AO3 dashboard page.

Volo is ready to work diligently as a supervising editor today, but Haarlep has volunteered to do some "research" instead...

An indoor setting (the Elfsong Tavern). Volo is in the foreground with his back to the camera, writing on a scroll of parchment. In front of him are two fancy chairs. On the left one is Lae'zel sitting cross legged and shouting angrily, on the right Shadowheart is looking bored and annoyed, sitting casually with her hands on her knees, pointedly not paying attention to either of the others. Honestly this took a lot of effort to move the chairs, angle the camera, and get the characters to sit without running away before I could hit photo mode!

Who will we be seeing there?

A screenshot from Baldur's Gate 3 showing the character He Who Was in the game scene. There are subtitles on screen as follows: He Who Was: This once is a murderer who walks free. She deserves to be punished. Or will you deny her victims peace? 1. What do I need to do? 2. No - I don't have time for this. 3. Leave. He infected my brain is what he did! Ruined my reputation!

(I still won't let him die in game though, because for some reason this silly little wizard is vital to the existence of magic itself)

((Still yeeting him at the wall like cooked pasta though))

"What if #VolothampGeddarm was a woman" collided with suggestions to dress her in the Withers booty shorts and a cropped top that imitates the style of his usual outfit. Naturally I kept the hat, as one must~

#BG3 #BG3Volo #BG3FanArt
2D art of Volothamp Geddarm re-imagined as a woman. She's wearing the classic blue hat with matching high heeled shoes, which have yellow ribbons lacing up to just below the knees to imitate the style of Volo's long socks. Her hair is long and loose, and she has some red themed makeup and is winking. One hand is raised doing the K-Pop pinched heart symbol with a heart drawn above the hand. The rest of her outfit is a cropped sleeveless jacket with ruffle collar imitating Volo's usual jacket, complete with the brown leather cap sleeves, gold detailing, and red crosses. Then the top covering her huge breasts is almost bikini-like, with two large triangles of fabric meeting below the chest attaching to a gold ring, with pale yellow bunched fabric going in a wide band at the bottom of the garment. The top also has the red cross details but as one single large cross over each breast. She is also wearing very short puffy shorts in pale yellow and gold stripes with blue waistband and lower leg bands. There is a G and a D visible in blue to imply writing across the back. This should have read "Goblin Dat D-ck" but when trying to find an angle to show this off as well as her impressive chest, it looked like it said "Go DaD" so I just...decided on this angle instead. The final details are red painted nails where the index and middle finger of both hands have shorter rounded nails. The background is brown and black with a blurred divide and the imitation of a spotlight effect. There's a blue and gold frame, and the artist has signed the bottom right "Tavylia Sin" in both infernal font and standard font.

Happy Volo'ntine's Day!
The hat *always* stays on.
Always.

2D art of Volothamp Geddarm perched on a bar stool. He is wearing only his hat and holding a large pink paper heart covering most of his torso and genitals. There is a telltale bulge moving the paper out of shape at his crotch and his testicles are just showing between his legs. He is looking down directly towards the viewer and blushing with a slight smile. There are scissors, ribbon, and the paper the heart was cut from on the floor beside the stool. Text on the left reads "Happy Volo'ntine's Day" and the artist has signed Tavylia Sin in both infernal and standard font in the lower right. The background is a pink and black gradient with a soft lighter pink border around the edges. A close up of the head and shoulders from the main image A close up of the crotch of the main image. To save you from needing to zoom in to see his bhaalsack.

A quick(ish) Nurse Volo for a friend in need~

(Marked suggestive for that outfit)

#VolothampGeddarm #AhMyGoodPatient #BG3 #BG3Art #Volo #BG3Volo
Volothamp Geddarm in a suggestive pose wearing thigh high PVC boots with matching half gloves and hat. His main outfit is a sheer dress with blue PVC detailing, and the bottom of the dress attaches to pink stockings just visible above the top of the boots. The sheer dress shows that underneath he is wearing skimpy pink underwear (thong/g-string style) and there's a pink cross on his hat (pale pink, I'm not messing with any Geneva conventions for this). Volo is blushing slightly, holding some bandages, and has a speech bubble with the following text: "Ah, my dear friend! There you are! Please, allow me to aid with your bandages, I assure you I am quite adequately trained in such matters." The artist has signed the lower right in both infernal font and a standard font, Tavylia Sin. The background is a mixed gradient of dark blues with a brighter line at about 1/3 up from the bottom and a spotlight effect behind the character. There is also a narrow frame in dark blue and gold around the edges of the square image.

This week I really enjoyed the second part of this examination of #Withers x #VolothampGeddarm as a doomed one sided romance. There's a lot of devastating existential dread that's written so beautifully, I strongly recommend both pieces in the series~ archiveofourown.org/works/67112911

No Crypts for the Forgotten by magpiehouse Fandoms: Baldur's Gate (Video Games), Dungeons & Dragons (Roleplaying Game) General Audiences Major Character Death M/M Complete Work 02 Jul 2025 Tags Major Character Death, Volothamp Geddarm/Withers Summary Volo x Withers Tragedy / Yaoi / Existential Romance Words: 4,479 Pt. 2/? A companion novel to "No Ballads for the Forgotten"-Withers’ perspective. He came with songs and left with silence. An undead custodian, a too-alive bard, and the slow ache of unspoken things. Haunted by echoes of a past he buried centuries ago, Withers has spent lifetimes in silence—unchanging, untouched, and unmoved. But when a gentle scholar from Baldur’s Gate begins visiting the crypt, asking questions not out of reverence but recognition, something long-frozen begins to fracture. What follows is not redemption, but a reckoning: a quiet unraveling of memory, guilt, and the lingering ghost of a bard who once begged to be seen. In a world where time rots but love does not die, Withers must face the truth he tried to outlive—that the greatest cruelties are not those we inflict, but the ones we fail to stop. Missed the first day so oops? But #ShareYourCanvasBG3 for some dramatic lighting, I'm bringing in this backlit night-time scene~

It's not the most dramatic, certainly, but it is probably some of my best lighting so far~

#BG3Art #VolothampGeddarm #Gribbo #BG3
A scene set at night with a crescent moon in the background. The setting is a clearing in the woods, where Volothamp Geddarm is on one knee in a proposal pose holding his hat in one hand in place of a ring. To the left is Gribbo the Goblin, one hand on her hip but the other outstretched palm upwards as if ready to accept the offer. She has one eyebrow raised slightly quizzically as she is looking directly at Volo. The scene features soft lighting in the background with hard shading (cel shading) on the characters to help them stand out more clearly. The artist has signed the bottom right with Tavylia Sin written in the infernal font

For his part, Volo simply has an idea, and needs a talented individual to bring it to life. He wasn't expecting to test it right away, but the offer is too tempting to refuse. -Sample- And that was how, an hour later, Barcus found himself still nursing a headache whilst the eccentric writer babbled on about…whatever topic he was on now. It seemed there was little room to get a single word in even on its edge, so it was easier to just let him run on a while and sip tea in the silence. “Well, what do you think?” The silence following the question rushed in like a hurricane, sweeping away any wild fantasies Barcus had of this meeting being over soon. Now he had to actually reply? Shit. “I’m more of a…practical learner,” he suggested, hoping it was vague enough that Volo wouldn’t notice he hadn’t the slightest idea of what he was supposed to be answering.
