Again, probably the nostalgia talking, but 90s Trek alien ship design remains unmatched.

The K'Tinga class served the Klingon Empire well for decades, but following the loss of the Narendra III colony at the hands of the Romulans, it time for a renewed fleet. The Vor'cha class was designed to adapt the successes of the K'Tinga for the next generation.

Latest #StarTrek acquisition: the Playmates Klingon Vor'cha class attack cruiser and the Romulan D'Deridex class warbird from the 90s. Both were in box, with the batteries removed, so the electronics still work. Stands from Display Stands Direct on eBay

These shots from #StarTrekTNG's "Redemption I"⬆️ and the previous episode "In Theory"⬇️ nicely illustrate that the Vor'cha class bridge set is a redress of the torpedo control room set from the earlier episode. :-)

Here's a comparison of the Klingon Vor'cha class attach cruiser firing a torpedo in the original ⬅️ and remastered ➡️ versions of #StarTrekTNG's "Redemption I". I love the blue/green torpedo effect!

The Klingon nightclub on Qo'noS in #StarTrekTNG's "Redemption II"⬇️ is a redress of the Enterprise-D torpedo lab in last season's "In Theory"↖️. The set itself was redressed and Klingonized in part 1 of "Redemption"↗️, where it appeared as Gowron's Vor'cha class bridge.

This is Hyacinth Bouquet speaking to you from the communication system of a Vor'cha class cruiser with a cloaking device, disruptor emitters and photon torpedo launchers. I cannot send you another portion of snail juice with extra shells. This is not the Ferengi restaurant.

Most Star Trek ships are kind of built like very early Age of Sail warships: lots of guns pointing in every direction.

Maybe the Vor’cha, Defiant, and Galaxy-X are designed to exploit that—sacrifice firing angles for just one big gun to overmatch any one enemy ship.

I love this shot of the Vor'cha class attack cruiser and its shield bubble being briefly visible as it is hit by a torpedo in the original ⬅️ and remastered ➡️ versions of #StarTrekTNG's "Redemption I". Again: a shot perfectly recreated for the remastering. :-)

Here's a comparison of how the Vor'cha class attack cruiser model appears in footage in the remastered versions of #StarTrekTNG's "Reunion"⬇️ and "Redemption I"⬆️ for which Modern Video ⬇️ and CBS Digital ⬆️ were responsible. You can see how different approaches were taken.

Here are a few more shots that highlight how the torpedo bay in #StarTrekTNG's "In Theory"↖️↗️ was first redressed as the Vor'cha class attack cruiser bridge in "Redemption I"⬅️➡️ and then was used as the Klingon night club on Qo'noS in "Redemption II"↙️↘️.

Here's another angle of the bridge of Gowron's Vor'cha class attack cruiser, as seen in #StarTrekTNG's "Redemption I"⬆️ that shows that the set is a redress of the torpedo lab seen in the previous episode "In Theory"⬇️.
