there's no one lore but the very first setting for the vpets was that people specifically designed their wireframe models and textures to assist them in evolving and beating the shit out of each other bc they were originally bits of weird sentient code

Man I hope those Digimon new wave 1 Vpets don't take forever to re-stock. I really like that Graffiti and Digivolution pattern of Agumon on them

I have made like 500 of those vpets thingy. Whenever anybody pay 50 or more for that pack i made a vow to myself that they get a lifetime access to all the stuff i made in that series
(I also have something I want to DM you about but I can’t seems to be doing it here)

also bandai should make more fucking vpets so I don't need to spend 120 dollars or more on a 20 DOLLAR PIECE OF PLASTIC (digimon x and 20th rerelease)

I know Agumon is gonna be in everything because of mascot status, but it is really amusing to see just how many Vpets Monodramon manages to slide in to over the years. The ultimate gap filler.

Started with Adventure, fell off just before Savers. Kept an eye on it through the Xros series and various games but didn't really engage with any of it. Once the TCG dropped I got into that, the Story games, vpets, etc. The card game really kicked my love back in gear.

If youre going to make a Digimon World AI shit game, at least get the fucking lore right!!! Mameo uses the Digital Monster, not a fucking Digivice. The og vpets are also seen/used in Next Order and have corresponding IRL equivalents.
The World sub hasnt banned it yet. I hope they do soon.

The old digimon vpets kinda looked like little cages, so I can see one of the sprites trying to break out.
