Convicted MAGA fraudster influencer James O’Keefe has been criminally charged with unlawful voting and identity theft as a result of his fake operation to uncover nonexistent vulnerabilities in Minnesota’s election system.

The actual voter fraud always comes from fascist republicans.

They built 'an internet of things' in which freezers have IP addresses, then built AIs to find security vulnerabilities. What did they think would happen?
Who is responsible for the cyber attacks on supermarket freezers in Europe and why will it get worse with AI? Euronews Next spoke to cybersecurity experts for answers.

Roger Marshall using his closing argument to focus attention on one of his biggest vulnerabilities is a timely reminder:

Politics is a vocation, and some practitioners have never had to learn certain basic skills.

Roger Marshall pushes dubious closing message in Kansas, reportedly defying his own team
In his final pitch to voters, the Republican senator brought fresh attention to one of his biggest vulnerabilities. That seems unwise.

Authorities and affected companies are also investigating incidents in Estonia, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Sweden. Initial reports indicate attackers may have exploited vulnerabilities in refrigeration control software, causing some freezer temperatures to rise significantly.

In the last two weeks of October alone, there have been multiple, potentially internet-breaking vulnerabilities reported and patched.

You can protect yourself with basic digital security hygiene that is now more important than ever. | via @eff.org
Computer security is about to get a lot worse, here’s what you can do
AI is making it easier and faster to discover software vulnerabilities, like the PHP one discovered recently.

Less "they know they're losing" and more "interesting signal about where they see their vulnerabilities"

“Ubuntu's website promises "timely patches for critical vulnerabilities." Ubuntu hasn't shipped the patch nine days after it was rated 9.8 and six days after a working root exploit. Very fucking timely indeed.”

it tells us that you are looking for the wrong vulnerabilities

So, have I got this right - LLMs trained to find security vulnerabilities have in effect made software systems *less* secure overall?

Attacks on British infrastructure are also expected to include ransomware that locks down systems and demands money to restore access.

So far, hackers have mainly used AI to gather information about targets, prepare personalised scam messages and find and exploit vulnerabilities in software.

Yesterday’s event near Kyiv was a staged and coordinated Russian psyop run by identified bad-faith actors. Russian psyops exploit vulnerabilities like mobilization. While mobilization needs improvement, it will continue as Russia’s war persists. Traitors must face justice

Triaging security vulnerabilities with Opus 5.5 is a bliss. Thanks, Anthropic, I'm making everyone using Node.js safer.

(Now, if we only had fewer vulnerabilities).

it's why i'm probably more bullish on AOC for president than most. she has real vulnerabilities but she also clearly has the juice.

Not directly on AO3, thankfully. But big vulnerabilities were discovered in PHP, one of the foundational programming languages of the internet. PHP is derived from the language AO3 uses, Ruby on Rails

Managing dissociation often (but not always) comes down to managing feeling overwhelmed & alone.

Focusing on micro goals & intentionally using supportive, realistic self talk w/ ourselves may not seem inspiring, but they're tools targeted to those specific vulnerabilities.

the only thing I wish had been added here is that Israel and Saudi Arabia have exploited vulnerabilities in the American system in differently corrosive ways. AIPAC created a shell to pour millions into races to defeat progressives not even mentioning Israel in ads. The Saudis gave Jared Kushner $2B
Bari Weiss's resident hack Ross Douthat made a complete fool of himself on 60 Minutes, trying to claim the Saudi lobby has the same grip on Washington as AIPAC. Abdul El-Sayed immediately crushed him: 'AIPAC spent $33 million against me alone! Name another lobby doing that.' It has to make sense!🗳️🌊

Also, like...most of the shit that dropped the past couple of weeks were artisanal vulnerabilities discovered by AI

Not the other way around
