The Mercedes-Benz W114 series, launched in 1968, is still one of the company's most recognisable shapes. This early '70s US brochure (hence the different fron lighting arrangement) features the six-cylinder 250 saloon and coupé, which confusingly both had 2.8-litre engines. #weirdcarbs

While doing some research just now, look what I found. It’s a short ‘Our classics’ piece I wrote about my W114 Merc 280CE for the December ’98 issue of #ClassicAndSportsCar. I sold it some time ago, for 20% more than I paid for it, but in some ways I wish I hadn’t. Pretty thing.

Lots more NEC Classic Motorshow Mercs, a non-bling G Wagon, a stunning W123 wagon, that W114 😍 but can you see the price on the R170 SLK? Its a smidge more than I paid for mine!
