Hey the w198 was no slouch but a better car as a cabrio. Having now engineered lifting doors I feel they should only exist because they're better in that application not because gimic

Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing - W198
I do miss my old R170 1998 SLK230, despite the abysmal quality of the interior. Absolutely no rust and it drove beautifully. A friend of mine now owns it. This was the first model year for the U.S. It shared the same 2,400mm wheelbase as the W198 Gullwing, which it was designed as a homage towards.
