7th gen games really do hit different. The 360 & Wii just feel so comfy & right at home to me.
I can very much play HL2 & Portal on my PC, especially with mods, but playing the console port of the orange box just feels really relaxing to me.

The Switch is way better than the Wii U. I much prefer playing my games on handheld on the Switch and not that big clunky game pad

Theres a lot of things i missed about physical media, but i wanna focus on video games for a moment.
One of my favorite things to do when i got a new game for the wii or wii u was look through the manual. It was my favorite thing to do when getting back home and frankly, i miss that part a ton for -

Omg I straight forgot thatXD.
I had a Wii crash, so I actually have two full play throughs of this game. It erased my file and I would not stand for that.

Wubbadubbadubba is that true? For #RandomGameSaturday, Rhythm Heaven Fever for Nintendo Wii. A real hidden gem for the platform that I’m surprised isn’t talked about more.

I think Nintendo Youtubers(tm) who grew up during the Wii U era are so obsessed with the "quality" of Directs because they're not used to actually having games to play instead of just watching trailers for the same 5 hype games for 3 years straight

#Blutoid I know it was my fault for going into GameStop, but my local GameStop has a "retro" game section that included Metroid Prime on GC, Castlevania Judgment on Wii, two used copies of Pokemon Y for $55, and a used copy of SMT IV for $60, and this was me afterwards:

I kind of recall Maria being given the shojo treatment and it feels way out of character from both rondo and symphony. I guess it helps with cast diversity but eh.
Worst I’ll say of the game, you can’t back up saves without hacking up your Wii.

Mine too.
Shockingly, I think Kamen Rider Dragon Knight on the Wii is rare and expensive these days. It's like the one exception.

I would've love this game more if there was an alternative traditional control scheme because the Wii motion controls was an absolute nightmare to me to where I sadly never did beat the game 😓

Aie.

Retrospy used to display inputs since it supports generic PC controllers. DS image taken from Wii U DS VC but I forgot exactly where I found it.
