I love this man, Eric Lariviere. He was director at Flato Markham Theatre when he offered us the theatre for a four-day residency so we could work out the parts to #walkingthroughthefire with our live touring ensemble. Since then it has had 100 performances and we even made a movie!

Tkaronto Reel - Sultans of String feat. Métis Fiddler Quartet

Here's our new video with Métis Fiddler Quartet to lift our hearts! Violist Alyssa Delbaere-Sawchuk has been a keystone player in Sultans of String as we toured #walkingthroughthefire across Canada.

Dickson might have been speaking about the very difficult and harrowing experiences of our Indigenous peoples, experiences that many of us of non-Indigenous descent can’t begin to fully understand, but I feel the sentiments she expressed are universal.

A real honour to collaborate with Inuit artist Angela Amarualik, recording one of her traditional songs. Her jewelry and sewing was as fantastic and captivating as her voice!
