Another day, another news story about autistic people being abused, this time at Whitefield School in Wathamstow.
It’s heartbreaking to keep hearing of abuse, for it to almost be normalised with how frequently abuse occurs.

I've seen Pink Floyd and Genesis with Peter Gabriel.
Jethro Tull, the Who, the Stones, Frank Zappa, Hawkwind, Humble pie, Family, SAHB and many more.
Went to see the Sex Pistols in Wathamstow but got so stoned ended up at the poly instead of town hall and Motorhead were on.
Good times.

The NHS manager was kind enough to make Wathamstow my Friday clinic so I knew exactly which door to stand at on the tube to get out fastest as the stampede built up .

From Surrey Police Group commit ‘pour’ decisions Three men from an organised crime group (OCG) who stole over £2,000 worth of alcohol in 2025 have been sentenced. Tudor-Gabriel Baratoiu, 37 (DOB: 18/01/1989) from #Wathamstow; Ionut-Alexandru Mihalcea, 30 (DOB: 10/02/1996) from #Lewisham and Balauta Georgian Razvan, 47 (DOB: 17/11/1978) from #Waltham all originally pleaded not guilty to theft of alcohol from Sainsbury’s Bridge Way #Cobham on Sunday, 17 August and Saturday, 11 October 2025 before changing their plea to guilty at an earlier hearing.

The Soho Theatre in Wathamstow is a great venue. Led by Donkeys were interviewed by The Guardian there earlier this week.

My last two years in London were in Wathamstow. My husband was working in Waltham Abbey and I was down at Oxford Circus so it was a mid point! This was over 20 years ago now. London has changed a lot.
