Having speculated on the potential for anomalously far south snowfall for the upcoming pattern a few days ago, I noted the several conditions that would’ve been likely needed for that to happen (TPV far south, anticyclonic wavebreaking, etc). None of those look to happen in the medium range.
These two stories actually reference meteorologists instead of a random facebook page, but there is currently no indication that any snow would be falling at Disney World over the next week and a half.

Good example of anticyclonic wavebreaking in the Atlantic to end the month. This encourages TUTT formation with the higher PV air dipping south. It also leads to anticyclogenesis, creating a strong high pressure, which will dump drier air into the eastern Atlantic. Should keep the deep tropics quiet

What we don't know, that is crucial to the *potential* for any southern snowstorm to occur:
- if/where any embedded TPVs can be displaced south into CONUS
- if the second upstream ridge amplification is associated with anticyclonic wavebreaking, and if so, if the TPV becomes negatively tilted
- if/where any embedded TPVs can be displaced south into CONUS

I would say that this is one very dead Atlantic for the peak of #HurricaneSeason. The operational models are no more enthusiastic.
It takes an extremely unfavourable pattern (El Nino + wavebreaking) to shut down the basin so completely at the climatological peak of the season.
