It is well documented that Qatar bribed their way to host the WC2022. Apparently not an obstacle to owning a football club. I don’t buy into conspiracy theories but problematic when a game is decided on marginal refereeing decisions that this is the mindset of the owners.

I had this exact same revelation just before WC2022 when ten African teams of a very similar level had to play a home and away play-off so that five of them go to the World Cup.
There was so little between them that I found the whole thing cruel. Could not stop thinking of "Cruelty IS the point"
