Early morning stroll up Great Asby Scar in the #WestmorlandDales. It feels like Autumn has arrived with wonderful mists in the valley. About 1 hour later it had clouded over.

Early May and the Early Purple Orchids are back on the Limestone Pavement at #GreatAsbyScar in the #WestmorlandDales. They usually last a few weeks. They're also called Blue Butcher, Adder's Meat, Goosey Ganders, Kite's Legs and Dead Man's Fingers.

From a while ago whilst walking on a quarry track at Orton Scar in winter in #cumbria, #uk Freezing fog with some snow on the ground. The sun is there but weak. The isolated gate stops cars going to the Limestone Quarry further up the track.
