yeah i'm always thinkin about this. evermore cohorts of folks movin through the world, each thinking until about 20-30 that what they're learning is the culture that will always matter; eventually hitting a depression and alienation as the next cohort doesn't give a shit about The Matrix or wevs 🥰

the only things there that are questionable are the embarrassing kente cloth moment and the diAngelo book (and sometimes you have to reach some people where they are, so wevs)

I'd disagree, but wevs. I never liked the Pistols (I mean I was preteen anyway) but even later on it was "What, they only did one record" and stuff like My Way and Friggin in the Riggin was cobbled together afterwards off a movie soundtrack.

A couple of weeks ago two women were fannying about with the tarot guide sheet I have on my market stall, picking cards with their eyes shut, and then fucked off without buying anything. Bit twatty I thought, but wevs. I just had someone doing it again and I think it might have been the same pair.

Very, very rarely do I ever go out of town but once I was gone for 2 weeks (helping fix up a friend's inherited mtn cabin) & when I came back my cats were happy to see me but more like "oh, okay, you're here, wevs." I was slightly nonplussed (but not nonpussed, ha.)
