It’s been sad this year watching how the White House press corps refuses to back each other up. Here a female journalist is insulted and denigrated and the next male reporter just moves on to a new question. You’re all in this together, folks. Time & again, they won’t stand up for their colleagues.

Reps for CNN, Reuters, The AP, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic and NPR all say that journalists from their newsrooms are not signing the new paperwork about Pentagon access. Newsmax says it doesn't intend to sign, either — a potentially significant sign of MAGA dissension.

The White House Correspondents’ Association has announced that entertainer and magician Oz Pearlman will be the headliner for April’s Correspondents’ Dinner, not one of those mean, mouthy stand up comics who might mix in some social criticism. The Correspondents judged themselves too weak for that.
