Update: bike was still there, rode it directly to the lovely people at Ace Wheelworks, who sold me a new u-lock and put air in my tires, home now.
WELP my old Kryptonite lock finally failed, forcing me to rely on only a cable lock and the Davis Sq. T bike cage to protect my bike, 🤞🤞🤞 it’s still there when I’m done with my dentist appointment

@gravelinfluencer.bsky.social is there a cycling clothing store anywhere in the metro area? Bikes Not Bombs and Wheelworks both have very basic kits.

Well I tried a 58 EVO and a 58 Crux at Wheelworks, and one think I know for sure is that I do not have the legs for that standover height. That means a 56 with a long stem and spacers yuk lol.
If you ever want to test ride mine to see how ya like it let me know

Many years ago, I was in the used section of Wheelworks, and they had this very shiny road bike with a note that said something about not being allowed to say who owned it before, but it was a US Senator.

The last 2 miles home, the moment the southwest corridor ends at Forest Hills, the best I get is a tiny painted bicycle on the road.

i KNEW it was gonna be wheelworks.... have you been to bikes not bombs in jp? i had good experiences there. revolution was also great (the guy just LOVED bicycle more than anything) but it seems to have closed?

I biked around Cambridge and Somerville in my 20’s, .. 20 years ago
Now I live in Hyde Park.
I bought an ebike from ace wheelworks in Somerville.
Biked home - 14 miles. The first 12 were entirely bike path, protected and separated bike lanes.
The last 2….closest to my house.

working ones? :p There's a broken one in Porter Square, which is my experience with basically all the public bike repair infrastructure. Wheelworks typically has a pump outside when they're open, I think, but I don't know whether any working bike repair stations exist in Somerville.
