why do people do this? like genuinely why? this is why i have banned words when i stream of the words graphic designer and 3d graphic designer because i kept getting people in my chats spamming for work requests after i told them no. and i swear i never get requests to do commissions until i start posting my twitch highlights/clips. like ur not actively seeking me out prior to that. are u people just scouting the twitchstreamer and streamer hashtags or what? and i swear every time i tell them no its either 1. they'll claim they respect the no and 5 minutes i'm getting another dm from them saying "hey do u want to look at my art portfolio" and/or 2. they'll say "oh but i'm running a discount now right now" or occasionally i've had people where they'll ask me for work and i say no and they'll guilt trip me be saying they have bills and blah blah blah. and its like, i have bills too dude. as well as irl stuff i want/need the money for. like i get thats ur job and all that. but harassing people and forcing them to commission with u,isn't how to get the work my guy. or even i've had some people want work done and i've told them i already promised someone else to do work with them and they go "oh but we can work together instead,they'll understand" 1. they won't understand. i just blew them off after having them wait months/years to work with me. thats unfair to them and cruel 2. they also have bills to pay,not going to make them think they're getting money and oppsie nevermind i'm working with someone else. that's messed up and 3. the fact ur trying to steal commission work from another small commissioner is awful knowing u wouldn't want someone doing that to u,yet u have no problem doing it to someone else. i have a strong moral compass. so if ur not going to accept a no after its been stated in person as well as in a pinned post on the front of my profile and if ur gonna want me to screw another commissioner so u get paid,i don't wanna work with u. its that simple.
