It should be working better now but I've only managed to halve the load that bot traffic is causing. Which is better than nothing, as it's functional again, but if there are long term issues with performance that exhaust my options with Cloudflare I may need to consider migrating it to a wikifarm.

on one hand, ew a wikifarm

on the other hand, fuck wikia (saying this as someone who USED TO edit for warframe wiki but gave up due to wikia bullshit)

i need to make a wikifarm

remember when I was pitching the idea of my ideal creative space to connect with people which was essentially a wikifarm community but wikis for their own personal projects. as if literally anyone besides an extremely small fraction of the population even prefers to communicate information that way

miraheze.org allows you to host a wiki for free with no ads on a wikifarm (with some limitations, but that's a given) until you learn enough about websites to host it yourself, but even then there are a lot of wikis being hosted on there that have stayed there longterm

Nice to haves:

* The wiki to be independent of a wikifarm (e.g. Bulbapedia, Touhou Wiki)
* "Embed" or at least "partnering" with the TM discord

Fandom, the company/website, is a wikifarm - their is an aggressive amount of ads on the site, autoplaying videos on almost every pages (that often have nothing to do with the page you're on), obtrusive navigation, dogshit mobile formatting, AI generated misinformation, limited community control

Facts about "User" (No design yet):

- They are a digital entity that lives inside all wikis in the wikifarm "Fandom."
- They like to troll Wiki by editing wiki pages to give out misinformation
- They can shapeshift into any of the characters from the default profile pictures.

and for clarification to anyone who read this far
list of bad things rubens done:
send animal abuse to random furries
try to get impressionable kids onto an alt right website
is willingly friends with other racists and sexists
falsely accuses others to ruin their rep
bragged about wikifarm coins

I am not a fan either, but it was an experiment that needed to be done.

In fact, for the Wikifarm I am developing an Anti-AI policy, as it is too unreliable.

The lack of quality control on Fextralife combined with the emptiness of the Fandom version genuinely makes me consider trying to create my own FromSoft games wikis. Hosted on a wikifarm like Miraheze, though.
