#wildnerness
A lonnnng time back when I was playing the young LOTRO, my favorite area was the wildnerness between Bree and Weathertop. It set such a mood, leaving a relative bubble of safety and innocence for more dangerous but also more wondrous world. My first view of Weathertop is a core gaming memory.
Once they are several miles from Bree, Strider leads the hobbits north off the Road. At first they follow a narrow path leading north-east towards Archet, but will soon leave the path and walk directly out east into the wild. They will remain north of the Road for a full week.

MAP24: CLANDESTINE COMPLEX

An utterly generic, utterly ordinary map. Yes, it takes less than 15 minutes to max, whatever.

Alien Vendetta is officially derailed. Four maps lost in the generic boring wildnerness.

SUCH a shame.

Grade: D
Difficulty: C

My home backs up to a greenspace (creek, wildnerness) and it's mostly brown.

We KNOW that he hates everything to do with the "outdoors" and "conservation" - just UGH. So this is no surprise. If you told him the National Park Service was putting up a gold statue of him, he would applaud that! But "those stupid animals and things in that wildnerness - who cares?!"

Today, the system protects more than 111 million acres.

Zahniser spent years fighting to preserve places that would mostly be enjoyed by people he would never know.

Like seriously, think about it, if you want your American Jewish kids to grow up to be Zionists, it makes no sense to send them to the American wildnerness to hear stories about Israel when you could... send them to Israel.

Love this new Julia Holter record. Strikes me as something of a return to the baroque/chamber pop of 'Ekstasis' and 'Have You in My Wildnerness', while also cut through with the jazzy experimentalism of 'Loud City Song', 'Aviary' and 'Something in the Room She Moves'. Enrapturing and invigorating 💫
'Returning with the same bandmates and mindset as before, Materia the album is Holter returning to the playground to make new shapes out of familiar ideas, including two reworks of the original song'

Listening to the bush: How AI can help NZ rid its wildnerness of ‘hold-out’ pest possums

AI listening devices could help find New Zealand’s last remaining possums – but only if they don’t mistake bird calls for pests. Here’s how a new fix works.

It's a shame the novels and audios so overshadow them because the Wildnerness Era DWM Comics had some great stories, and Izzy might be the best Eighth Doctor companion. Scott Gray was a true powerhouse writing almost Eight's entire nine year era himself.

Federal contractors started bulldozing sensitive habitat in Big Bend this month, part of a nearly $2 billion border construction plan, even though this stretch accounts for barely 1% of unauthorized crossings, and has bipartisan opposition.

Hi, I've been busy, but meet Anton. He was having a moment in the woods before you stumbled upon him...

Figured I'd break my absence with a little self indulgent nsfw.

It’s a super cool area because it’s sort of treated the way the Grand Line is in One Piece where you’re in the TRUE wildnerness now and there’s only this little church as your only respite and you’re just beefing up for the final confrontation

out in the wildnerness too... my body might get torn apart by wolves... that would be a cool way to go out...

yoshi-p reminded them how to make a game after a decade or two in the wildnerness, and now they forgot how to forget how to make a game, which is necessary for not-games like gatcha slop
