Backed up all the data that I needed. Doing a CHKDSK, and going from there. Attempted to run "recuva" which did not pull anything from after 10/14/26. So, not sure if this is something that occurred going from Win10>Win11>Win10 with the HDD. The mystery deepens.

Win10 takes such a long time as it has to copy everything to Microsoft.

Some nice updates over the weekend for sokol_app.h on Windows (TL;DR: D3D11/DXGI swapchain resizing during window resizing is enabled now, and a presentation-mode fix for Win10+ when vsync is disabled).

I FINALLY got a fucking Windows partition for win10, and a dual boot set up. It took me like 20 goddamned hours. 😩

@0xabad1dea seeing as this will probably run on just about anything that runs Win10, I now wait for somebody to take an actual computer from a Wendy's to run this on

Win11 (dicono) è tecnicamente migliore di Win10. Peccato che sia funzionalmente una catastrofe. Ho un portatile con Win10 sul quale neppure mi sogno di fare l'aggiornamento, almeno finché non ci mettono l'opzione "ritira fuori quel cazzo di menu col bottone in fondo a sinistra".

I wanted to game on it and I've had this laptop since mid-2024 and a lot of the stuff I needed to do at the time for uni/work I was more experienced in setting things up on Windows 10.

they took away the ability to choose the win10 taskbar color now but in light mode only and it chugs for several seconds just to switch between light or dark? TWO arbitrarily different "log into a microsoft account 🔫🥰" dialogs when you open the settings app? about as further enshittified as expected

Finally forced to give up my Win10 for a Win11 at work and the entire 1st day & multiple hrs on subsequent days have been spent hunting down & killing as much of this crap as I can
I also loathe widgits and helpful hints. Quit interrupting and ffs quit trying to pre-help! I’ll ask when I need some

On a small scale, refurb old tech (like put Linux on old Win10 PC) creates less demand for new, but using the tech (a la this Apple map farce) is still an issue. Do the best you can and be willing to KEEP learning & changing when inconvenient.
