Last harvest of 2024. Found some stray winecaps and got the last of the parsley. Rosemary doesn’t usually overwinter very well in Ohio, so I cut most of that, too. 🍄🌿🌱

Covering up the wine caps worked great! All are in great shape and the only bugs I found were earwigs in the pots and they don't bother with the mushrooms. Look at how beauty they are and oh so colourful.

Can anyone confirm that these mushrooms are the winecaps that I inoculated in my garden last year and not something else that would kill me? I’m very excited that this project might have worked. 🌱🍄🟫🍄

Right next to my winecaps were these gorgeous wild mushrooms that look like perfect toasted marshmallows. I don't know what they are (iNaturalist suggests an Agrocybe species), but I love those little fissures. Now I want s'mores! 🍄📷🌿

I consider the garden winecaps a fuckin failure however, the few small guys that came up are utterly teeming with bugs and not something I will ever wanna eat
