If Gen AI was ever going to make huge breakthroughs there would have been some smaller breakthroughs like winglets by now. The fact that there hasn't should tell you that these machines are not able to invent anything. Not now, not ever. The models do not have any intelligence.

Old AI invented Winglets on planes. Deeper Blue beat Garry Kasparov. These where older AI models. The new Gen AI models have not invented anything like Winglets. Despite the shear about of money invested into them. This should tell you that they will never invent anything. They are not Intelligent.

Gen AI can not beat Garry Kasparov. It can not do anything a human can not do. This is because it has no real intelligence. All Gen AI does is recompile the knowledge on the internet. It will never create something new. Something a human would never have created, even though older AI systems can.
