The Noctua Edition replaces the original WireView Pro II cooling solution with a semi-passive design that can handle up to 300W without active cooling and runs below 2,000 RPM when the fan is needed.

Thermal Grizzly and Noctua have teamed up on a GPU power-monitoring device with an integrated fan that activates under high temperatures and load. 🖥️🌬️

Thermal Grizzly, a German company specializing in thermal interface materials and PC enthusiast hardware, and Noctua, an Austrian leader in premium quiet cooling components, have introduced the WireView Pro II Noctua Edition. This device is designed to monitor and protect high-end graphics cards with 12V-2x6 power connectors from potential damage caused by uneven power distribution or connector issues. The WireView Pro II measures current individually on each 12V conductor rather than as a total value, allowing users to detect early signs of potential problems such as localized heating or connector damage. If a configurable threshold is exceeded, the device issues a visual warning on its integrated TFT-IPS display and triggers an audible alarm, with the option to initiate an automatic system shutdown via a supplied splitter cable. The Noctua Edition features a customized cooling solution with a CNC-milled aluminum heatsink, an integrated frameless NF-A4x10n fan, and a signature Noctua fan grille. This design significantly reduces noise compared to the standard version, keeping the fan off in most use cases and running at much lower speeds when necessary. In testing, the Noctua Edition kept its fan off completely at up to 300W GPU load, whereas the standard version started up after 5 minutes 40 seconds at 200W and 2 minutes 15 seconds at 300W. At 400W and 480W, it more than doubled the time until the fan started up and maintained the GPU connector around 3°C cooler. The device is priced at EUR 189.90 / USD 189.90 and is marketed as the ideal solution for users seeking to protect high-end GPUs in ultra-quiet PC builds. The collaboration between Thermal Grizzly and Noctua aims to address common feedback about the standard WireView Pro II's fan noise in very quiet systems, resulting in a product that combines proven protection features with enhanced thermal and acoustic design.
